Halloween is a time of spooky costumes and delicious treats. Some people love candy, others prefer cookies and biscuits, personally I am crazy about cupcakes. There’s something perfect about these little personal brownies. There are so many awesome ways to decorate them, and not just in terms of frosting, but you can even put a little secret topping inside, which in my humble opinion is a great opportunity to splurge on Halloween. If you’re as passionate about cupcakes as you are, you’re in for a treat. Today we’re sharing a couple of magical and spooky Halloween cupcakes to inspire you to create your own sweet and delicious Halloween monster.
1. Slasher Cupcakes
Scream is one of the first movies that comes to mind when I think of Halloween, so eating slasher cupcakes is a no-brainer. In addition, it is very easy to do, does not require much effort.
2. Skulls and skeletons
Some people like Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, but I think realistic skulls and skeletons look a lot better. So you can feel free to choose what you like best, this is just an inspiration.
3. Severed fingers
Is there anything more Halloween than severed body parts? Fingers are a classic, but you can always go for something more unique, like ears, toes, or maybe a whole hand?
4. Eyeball cupcakes
Speaking of body parts as cupcake decorations, eyeballs are another classic. Make them very realistic or just use peeled grapes to simulate an eye.

This is the most unusual Halloween cupcake option we’ve found this year. Monster strawberries that are ready to bite your finger. Who knew berries could be so scary?

Serve broken glass to your friends and foes this Halloween. I mean, just look at how cool it looks, and the best part is that the glass is made of sugar, completely safe and easy to make. And you’ll go crazy with the blood splatter, unleash your inner Dexter.

Brain Cupcakes are super easy, just pipe on the brain-shaped frosting and you’re done. Perfect for a zombie themed party or, you know, any other occasion like a wedding, funeral, kid’s birthday… just kidding!

If you’re not a fan of really scary desserts (why wouldn’t you be?), these adorable yet creepy bat cupcakes might be more to your liking. You can make them as difficult as you want, depending on your skill level and the amount of effort you’re willing to put in.

Another easy Halloween costume that can easily be incorporated into any dessert. Just make some meringue balls and call them ghosts, or go the extra mile and make them more “realistic”. Either way, it’s guaranteed to be a Halloween hit.

Witches are the best and it’s up to you if you want to be a sexy witch or a scary witch for Halloween, but your cupcake should have a witch hat on it. This is the law.
13. Spider cupcakes
It ends with the terrifying number 13 – it’s the spiders or you. Too many people take the lazy route and just use Oreos and some chocolate syrup to draw the legs, but this realistic spider is just as easy to make, just use some chocolate.
